Today I learned Go.
Sound too simple? it actually is! Go was first presented in 2014, pretty new compared to the other popular programming languages like Python (first release in 1991, v3.0 in 2008), C (1972), C++ (1985), and java (1995). The main reason was to create a programming language that will be as easy to write as python, but as fast as C. It came out as something in the middle.
How did I learn it? easy peasy! The Go Foundation created an online interactive tutorial (free of course).

It is hard to say that it will fit beginners without any knowledge of programming at all. These need a more theoretical and guided tour, although starting with Go as the first language is totally acceptable. But if you have some knowledge of programming (as I did – I know python pretty well before) it should be fun and quick. For me, taking the tour took around 3 days, shouldn’t be much longer for you.
